One of the best things about living—and working—in Medicine Hat is how easy it is to fall in love with this community. Whether I’m meeting a client, grabbing a much-needed caffeine fix, or just enjoying a little downtime, I have a few go-to local gems that never disappoint.
So, if you’re new to the area, looking to explore more, or just curious where your friendly neighbourhood Realtor® likes to hang out—this one’s for you!
☕ Coffee First (Always)
If you know me, you know a good coffee is my love language. Some of my favourites:
- Station Coffee Company – Cozy, consistent, and always full of friendly faces.
- Pool House Café & Roastery – The perfect stop for locally roasted beans and a laid-back vibe.
- MT Nest Café & Market – Great coffee and a great spot for meetings, lunch dates, or catching up on emails (or let’s be honest—Instagram).
🌞 Where I Soak Up the Sunshine
Living in “The Sunshine City” has its perks! Here are a few of my top spots to unwind outdoors:
- Strathcona Island Park – Ideal for a dog walk with Rylee and Abi or a peaceful riverside stroll.
- Echo Dale – A summer staple for a quick getaway without leaving town.
- Downtown Patios – Nothing beats a sunny afternoon catching up with friends at a local spot with a patio and a cold drink.
- Elkwater – This local gem, just a quick 45 minute drive away, is the perfect weekend get away for camping, hiking, biking, boating, and paddleboarding.
🛍️ Supporting Local—It’s in My DNA
I’m a big believer in shopping local and supporting the small businesses that make Medicine Hat so special.
- Huber’s Farm Market, Kookie Bites, & McBride’s Bakery – For locally grown veggies, sweet treats & freshly baked bread that never last long in our house.
- Stewart Optical & Roset Jewelry – Not just for stylish specs and jewelry, but top-notch service, too!
- Wild Clover, Homestead Market, & Botanicals – My go-to’s for thoughtful gifts and unique finds (or a little self-care shopping!).
There’s something special about supporting the people and places that make our city shine. Whether you’re a lifelong local or just settling in, I’d love to hear about your favourite Medicine Hat spots, too!
Thinking about buying or selling this season? I’d love to help—coffee’s on me. 😉
